Ballroom dancing would have to be one of the weirdest cultures I've ever seen, its fanstastic. Big hallways big ego's, beautifull women in beautiful outfits. My favorite dance is probably something along the lines of a Tango. I think I might join a club.

arrrrrr the vege section. Its not my fault I can't make up my mind theres just to many to choose from, its ridiculous. A friend of mine told me, sometime during her youth she decided once she earnt her own money it would all be spent on chips.

My experience of landscape has come from the intensity that is necessary for climbing and the way I understand its nature while I'm trying to surf. Tramping, skiing hunting whatever it maybe the pace is to fast for New Zealands natural landscape and its simplicity. It is often missed through the speed of life that starts from living in a city. Multi tasking is over rated.

Phil and H were charging this afternoon. Theres nothing about winter surfing that could be glorified, its just wickedly cold.

TV3 news played my footage on the six pm news of my neighbour's house being burnt to a pile of ashes. I will try to get a photo of the remains tommorrow as there were to many dogs there today.

Murry didn't quite get his roof finished today, ran out of nails with one last piece to go. Classic Kiwi approach on the do it yourself lark and check out the Aotearoa style foot wear.

Three wise men. Well actually on closer inspection they seem to be a little more sinister. They look more like three guys from the Spanish inquisition.

This is the view out my lounge window. Godley Head catching the last of the sun for the day with the bay getting the end of the south east swell, which brought some fun over the weekend.

Winter the season for pot luck dinners. Tonight Tom told us how he had to kill his chicken (the chicken was really sick). There aren't many people who have chickens, colllect their eggs and live in the city. Not only that Tom grinds his coffee manually and repairs technical footwear. What a great pace of life.

I went to the south end of taylors mistake to have a look at this red band of rock that I could see from my window. The pic hasn't been freaked.

Sumner bar receiving its fair share of swell.

Picture of the day

Wow what a day, this is Robin Hood who is a classic guy. Today Robin tried to catch some huge waves off the bar of Sumner. Unfortunately he lost his boat in the water and had to be rescued by a Rescue helicopter. Well actually he had drifted onto the Brighton beach by the time the rescue team arrived. Robin got a flight back to his car, nice.

I heard a story about two young brothers who were washing the dishes by hand rather than using the dishwasher. When their mother asked what they were doing they said they were playing olden-days.

Here's Sarah in the kitchen looking forward to the future.

Surfing

One of lifes great arbitrary habits.

Castle Hill

Kiaora,
Castle Hill would have to be my favorite climbing area in the world. I Have spent the best part of my twenties hanging out here climbing, taking photos and video. Expect to see more photography and information from this area over the next few months.
